How might we create a relationship between humans and their microbes?
Sensory Bounty
XO Seattle
Sensory Bounty was a collaboration between myself, XO Seattle, and Photon Factory. The winters in PNW are a gloomy place and we wished to bring communities together for an event that could enliven the senses.

A sensory forest
I partnered with Photon Factory to dream up the concept of a sensory forest, a lo-fi space to decompress and ground down when the dance beats begin to be overwhelming.
Sight: We collaborated with Matthew Macy to create Rothko-style video installation that was projected onto a continuous mirrored wall.
Hear: Ambient soundscape of the forest with spoken word laced in
Scent: We created a blend of eucalyptus and pine to diffuse the space.
Taste: We built an edible canopy with glass terrariums housing chocolate rocks, various herbs, and edible flowers.
Touch: A varietal of plants, pothos and ferns hanging from the ceiling. Monsteras and fiddle leafs lining the perimeter.

Poster and marketing materials
I designed the posters and invitation for the event, evoking the dark side of the moon and the night sky.
We sent out a save the date alongside a Spotify playlist curated by the three djs spinning the evening. An official invite went out with all the collaborators a star of the bigger constellation that made this event possible.
